Soldier Hollow Classic 2016: A Recap

The Vita Bone® Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship & Festival (SHC) is a favorite Utah event for dog lovers. With delicious food, artisan vendors, and plenty of talented pups to see, this Labor Day event is fun for the whole family, and we are proud to sponsor it.

This year, we rolled up to SHC in style in our Good Stuff Pet Truck, ready to celebrate all things canine with the more than 30 thousand attendees!

We parked the truck at our booth where we had a blast playing corn hole, making balloon dogs, and offering samples of our Vita Bone biscuits to guests who stopped by. Above all though, it was the meaningful connections established with thousands of dog lovers that made this event so special for us.

During the Vita Bone Shootout – an exclusive event you can’t find at any sheepherding competition other than SHC – the wild range Rocky Mountain sheep were especially wily! One ewe even head-butted a herding dog while it was brought down the mountainside. Congratulations to the gold medalist, Amanda Milliken!

While the sheepherding competition is the main event at SHC, the action didn’t end there. Other entertainment included splash dogs diving off a dock into a 40-foot pool, agility courses completed by speedy fast pups, and the K9 KINGs flying dogs show.

If you’re in the area, be sure to mark Soldier Hollow Classic on your calendar and come see us next Labor Day weekend!
